It's an honour to be able to share the things that capture magic and bring wonder into our every day. When you are feeding life, nurturing life in a jar - there can be a quiet ritual that I find quite soothing - a plan for the future - something quietly growing and transforming amongst the busy.
This business was started by me trying to teach, not make - but oh! people kept saying they just wanted to be able to buy it. Please try to make. I love to make it for you but! there is nothing like doing to appreciate a thing for what it is.
In Pickwick House, opened in early 2022, we now have a home to do this host a range of events and workshops, as well as sell the best products from my favourite fermenters. Please come in! Have a browse or a seat, enjoy a workshop, flip through a book, have a taste of something new.
We also run private group workshops and demonstrations for a variety of events and groups of people. Sharon is an engaging speaker and teacher, doing talks/demos, contributing to menus, and teaching workshops at large and small events around Australia. The range of settings and occasions that fermentation can bring insight and depth to is nearly endless - Sharon has run workshops for 50th birthday celebrations, corporate team building days, chefs/hospo people wanting to ferment their own food and drink, and more.
