This gem of a porcelain pickle pot was designed in 2019 when Nancy Hatchisu came to Australia for our ridiculously full to the brim festival - Hakkō, the Japanese Ferment Festival, held at The Long House.
A delicious accompaniment to your meal, quick pickles are quick! Slice some vegetables, lightly salt and massage, pack tight in your pickle pot and weight. Leave to pickle in their own juices for a few hours, or longer in the fridge. So so good.
The pickle pot is also a perfect pot to raise your levain before baking a loaf of sourdough, and the weight fits in our camembert form, ideal for pressing your cheese.

The pot is glazed with a clear gloss inside, satin white or black outside and a custom stoneware weight
