Chef's table with Cristina Chang ~ hands on

Sunday 5, May - 11am: General Admission
$180.00
Join Cristina Chang at the Fermentary and learn how to make the classic Taiwanese dish, Soy Braised Pork belly Bass aka Gua Bao (割包). In this class, you will learn the basics of fermentation and preserve your own mustard greens to take home, how to make and steam buns from scratch and how to make Gua Bao and Spring Onion Knots.

By the end of class, you will get to enjoy the dishes made in class at a communal dining table and take the rest of your hard work home to enjoy.

This is Cristina's frist workshop at The Fermentary and we are so exited to have her join our family of passionate guest chefs, fermenters, artisans....

As a registered teacher based in Melbourne, Cristina prides herself in creating engaging and safe spaces for learning new skills. Her Taiwanese-inspired cooking classes bring together her desire to showcase her Taiwanese culture with others, and her love of good food, cooking and doing so in an environmentally conscious way.

Cristina studied Food Nutrition and Health in Vancouver, where she grew up, and enjoys sharing her nutrition knowledge in all of her classes. But as a kid to two chef parents, it comes down to cooking food that you want to eat over and over again!
