BioBeet makes delicious kvass that will leave you wanting more. They use lots of fresh, high quality, whole organic and biodynamic ingredients because of the synergistic goodness and biological balance they convey. We love Jane and modern twist on this old tradition with ssix distinct "flavours" - each with the addition of different organic herbs and spices. Their idea is to push out the already strong health benefits of Bio-Beet Kvass with the addition of selected herbs and spices. Fermenting significantly increases the health benefits of herbs and spices by making them more bio-available and at the same time reducing the impact of anti-nutrients such as oxalates. All our herbs and spices have been chosen using three criteria - they are organic (97% are) or at least wildcrafted, they have a long history of safe use and their benefits are well researched.

Beetroot Kvass harnesses the extensive nutritional arsenal of beetroot through the traditional process of lactic acid fermentation, increasing the bio-availablity of these nutrients to your body.

Beet kvass has been consumed extensively in Europe for centuries in folk medicine practices, as a tonic, as well as for sheer enjoyment. The phyto-nutrients and betalins in beetroot help maintain proper cellular function and it has been used alongside cancer treatments and prevention. It's chelating properties help to detoxify the body while supporting the liver and kidneys.

It is an excellent source of sodium, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, Vitamins A, B, C, K and folate as well as antioxidants. digestive enzymes and probiotics.

We recommend starting with a 50ml shot up to twice daily for 7 days and then consume as desired.  Sometimes when I am feeling under the weather I'll put a bottle on my desk and sip at it all day.  Or if I've had a week of overindulging and feeling sorry for my liver...

It is happiily mixed with sparkling water for a refreshing drink, some even use it as a mixer with vodka.

Serve and store chilled, consume within 2 weeks of opening.
